The story of
Santuario Farm
Founded in 2000 by Camilo Merizalde, Santuario Farm is a pioneering farm that set out to produce the most unique coffees in Colombia. In the first decade, Santuario Farm excelled in creating exceptional coffees for the international market. In 2012, Santuario went one step further with internationalisation under the name The Santuario Project, establishing Finca Tres Milagros in Costa Rica (2013) and Santuario Sul in Brazil (2014). In 2017, it expanded into Mexico with the Ixhuatlán Innovation Centre in Veracruz and the partnership with the Guadalupe Zaju Family in Chiapas. In 2020, Santuario collaborated with Gesha Village (Ethiopia), applying its processing techniques. The latest addition is El Salvador, which is preparing to offer its origin in mid-2024. With a total of six origins, Santuario distinguishes itself as the sole company overseeing every aspect of its farms – from processing to marketing its exclusive specialty coffees.
