The San Carlos Estate coffee farm was Mauricio Borgonovo’s first acquisition in 1950, where he started the Borgonovo Pohl project after several years as a weigher in a coffee mill. Borgonovo Pohl is a third generation family business dedicated to processing and exporting high quality coffee in El Salvador. With more than 50 years of experience, the new generation proudly continues the tradition of commitment to quality, while also focusing on social and environmental sustainability. San Carlos farm is an outstanding example of the Salvadoran coffee growing tradition, combining sustainable agricultural practices with internationally recognised coffee production excellence.
