FAQs
For whom do we recommend specialty espresso coffee?
Espresso coffee is ideal for those looking for an intense and concentrated experience. Its strong flavour, thanks to the high pressure and smaller amount of water in its preparation, makes it perfect for coffee lovers with character. It is also the quick option for those who are short on time, as it can be prepared in minutes. In addition, espresso serves as a base for many drinks such as lattes and cappuccinos, offering versatility. If you prefer a smaller, more potent coffee, or enjoy the variety of drinks that can be made with it, espresso is your best choice.
Why is whole bean coffee better?
Coffee beans retain their freshness for longer compared to ground coffee or coffee in capsules, which can lose their quality when stored for extended periods. Freshness is essential for high quality coffee, ensuring superior taste and aroma.
Coffee beans also offer exceptional versatility. You can adjust the grind according to the brewing method, allowing you to create a customised cup of coffee to suit your taste, from a fine espresso to a coarse French press grind. This gives you control over the extraction and optimises the coffee experience.
In addition, consuming coffee beans is more sustainable and economical in the long run, as it reduces packaging waste and allows buying in larger quantities.
What is Specialty Coffee?
Specialty coffee is a category of coffee that stands out for its superior quality. It is made up of coffee beans grown in specific regions, hand-selected and processed with extreme care to bring out their unique flavours. Specialty coffees are distinguished by their exceptional flavour, aroma and body, and are usually rated above 80 points by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), guaranteeing their excellence.
How many cups come out of one kilo of coffee beans?
The number of cups of coffee you can get from one kilo of coffee beans varies depending on the preparation and the amount of coffee you use per cup. On average, one kilo of coffee beans usually provides around 120-140 cups of coffee, using approximately 7-8 grams of coffee per cup.
How to prepare coffee at home?
The preparation of coffee at home depends on the method you choose, such as French press, filter coffee machine, aeropress, espresso, among others. Each method has its own specific instructions. Make sure you use quality water, fresh coffee beans and follow the proper grinding guidelines and proportions to get the best flavour. What is roasted filter coffee like?
Filter roast coffee usually has a medium or light roast profile, which brings out the more delicate and brighter notes of the coffee, such as fruit and floral flavours. This type of roast balances the natural acidity and sweetness of the bean, ideal for brewing methods that allow for slower extraction, such as Chemex, V60 or French press. Filter coffee brings out the complexity and original characteristics of the bean’s origin.
