More about this coffee from Costa Rica
This speciality coffee comes from the Tres Milagros estate in Costa Rica, which has been owned by the Facusse family for more than five decades, consolidating itself as a true reference of the coffee tradition in the region.
Since 2011, under the direction of Camilo Merizalde and with the collaboration of the Facusse family, the estate has undergone a remarkable transformation. They have embarked on a mission to raise the quality and distinction of their coffees to the highest level. Today, Finca Tres Milagros is acclaimed for offering exceptional specialty coffees, each with a unique process that brings out their most outstanding characteristics.
This coffee has been carefully roasted to bring out the exceptional characteristics of a perfect espresso. Its roasting process allows it to achieve an ideal balance between sweetness, body and acidity, highlighting complex and deep notes that are intensified when prepared as an espresso.
A unique experience that transports you to the heart of Costa Rica in every cup!
Process - Yellow Honey
The cherries are harvested with a sweetness level above 21° Brix and soaked in water for one hour. They are then pulped, leaving 45% mucilage attached to the kernel, and dried in the sun on African beds for 20 to 22 days, until a moisture content of 10.5% is reached. They are then stabilised for 16 days in a warehouse before being stored in GrainPro bags. Finally, the coffees are cupped and batches are organised to ensure the highest quality.
Variety - Red Catuai
Red Catuai is an Arabica coffee variety appreciated for its balance between quality and resistance. Born in Brazil from a cross between Mundo Novo and Caturra, it has spread throughout Latin America thanks to its productivity and adaptability to mountainous terrain. Its cup profile is smooth and sweet, with moderate acidity and a silky body. Grown at different altitudes, it retains a remarkable quality and complexity of flavours. Its combination of yield and character has made it a favourite among growers and coffee lovers.
