A good filter coffee maker is the most convenient way to enjoy specialty coffee every day: you add water and coffee, press a button, and the machine does the rest. The difference compared to a conventional drip coffee maker lies in the details that define the cup. It heats the water to the correct temperature (92–96 °C), distributes it evenly over the coffee, and completes the extraction in the proper amount of time. ¿Cómo se prepara un café con cafetera de filtro?

Coloca un filtro de papel en el portafiltros y acláralo con agua caliente para eliminar el sabor a papel. Añade el café con molienda media, unos 60 g por litro de agua. Llena el depósito con agua fresca, a ser posible filtrada, y pon la cafetera en marcha. Cuando termine, remueva la jarra antes de servir para igualar el sabor. En la ficha de cada cafetera encontrarás las indicaciones concretas para preparar y ajustar ese modelo.

¿Qué molienda necesito para una cafetera de filtro?

Una molienda media. Si el café sale amargo, muele más grueso. Si sale aguado o ácido, muele más fino.

¿Qué diferencia hay entre una cafetera de filtro de especialidad y una convencional?

Las cafeteras de especialidad calientan el agua a la temperatura correcta y la mantienen estable, reparten el agua de forma uniforme sobre el café y controlan el tiempo de extracción. Las convencionales suelen trabajar con agua demasiado fría o demasiado caliente, y el café sale plano o amargo.

¿Qué mantenimiento necesita una cafetera de filtro?

Lava la jarra y el portafiltros después de cada uso y descalcifica la cafetera cada 1–3 meses, según la dureza del agua. Usar agua filtrada alarga su vida y mejora el sabor. En la ficha de cada modelo verás las pautas del fabricante.

¿Qué café es mejor para cafetera de filtro?

Un café de especialidad recién tostado, con tueste claro o medio, usado idealmente entre 5 y 30 días después del tueste. Es importante elegir cafés de filtro porque este método resalta sus notas afrutadas, florales y dulces.
