Today, we are going to share with you a recipe that you ask us about a lot: Dirty Chai Latte. This drink combines the intensity of coffee with the spiced and creamy flavors of chai, creating a unique experience for your palate. Get ready to enjoy a moment of indulgence at home with this simple recipe.
Ingredients
1 chai tea bag.
1 cup of milk (it can be almond milk, soy milk, or your favorite).
1/2 cup of strong coffee. We recommend some of our roasted coffees for espresso:
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
A pinch of cinnamon powder.
A pinch of nutmeg.
Optional: Add brown sugar.
Steps to follow
- Start by preparing a cup of strong coffee. We recommend coffee prepared in an Italian moka pot.
- While the coffee is brewing, heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the spices (cinnamon and nutmeg) if desired, and stir well.
- Just before the milk boils, remove it from the heat and add the chai tea bag. Let the tea steep in the milk for about 5 minutes for optimal flavor.
- Remove the tea bag.
- Make sure your chai tea does not have vanilla or cinnamon; if it does, adjust accordingly. In a large mug, combine the freshly brewed coffee, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Pour the infused chai milk over the sweetened coffee. Be sure to leave room for foam if you wish.
- Optionally, you can sprinkle a little cinnamon powder on top for a final touch.
And there you have it! Your homemade chai latte coffee is ready to enjoy. The combination of rich, spiced flavors with the smoothness of the milk and coffee will make every sip a delicious experience.
